>Wait, does Getter Robo Āḥ actually have an ending in this one? How? I'm confused.
There are a few added pages of dialog added to the ending of Āḥ. As for how, contrary to the many misconceptions of the internet, Ishikawa DID NOT die while doing Āḥ. The magazine was canceled and the story was cut short because of it. Ishikawa did release a few more comics before (and after, in the case of Goemon) his death.
Might I ask what the immediate effects of this purchase will be as far as scanlations are concerned? The Mazinger chapter by Ken Ishikawa was a very pleasant surprise, but hope for a new release makes waiting easier.
As for the next release? It's a bit sketchy at this point. Right now, the biggest obstacle is scanning. It's a big time sink. I'm trying to be more consistent with it. After I send Getter Robo Anthology to my translator (who is pretty busy, so it may take a bit), I'm going to scant the first volume of Getter Robo and redo that from the already translated first volume. Then, I'll probably scan Shin Getter Robo and redo that (along with translating the new chapters and segments) and release that. Then I'll try and finish up Getter Robo/Getter Robo G and then move onto Getter Robo Āḥ.
But, this is plans. Not reality. Hopefully it goes this well and the scanning goes faster than it has been up to this point.

ReplyDelete>Hmpf, can you say me the total price?
ReplyDeleteSure, it was ¥10,557. I only paid about $50 of my own money, so I was very happy.
