Super Robot Retsuden Chapter 6

I'm pretty sure this chapter was scanned directly from the magazine publication, as the image quality is markedly lower than the rest of the book. I wonder what happened there? Did they lose the originals? We'll probably never know. Anyway, enjoy this chapter! Thanks to Hokuto no Gun and HappyScans! for making this possible!

  1. I wonder why they jetpacks in order to get in space.

    1. Same reason Varon can only send one monster out at a time (literal monster of the week) - parody and rule of cool

    2. Unless their for extra propulsion to get them there faster maybe?... Yeah rule of cool. Let's go with that XD. Anyways's looks like Jeeg had a "MUUUSAAAASHIIII!" moment. Ironic when Musashi had his brush with death a few pages back with the "Legs being damaged. Bear can't fly on its own now" thing. Its like they went "Dammit! We forgot to kill Musashi! Let's go with the next best thing."

    1. In this post, you can see that the Shin Getter Robo manga was a compilation of stories Ishikawa published in various books and magazines.

Super Robot Retsuden was originally created to promote a toyline. The first four chapters were later compiled into a volume featured in Futabasha's Dynamic Box (双葉社限定版「ダイナミックBOX」内・マーミット版の1~4を収録) and the entire story was finally compiled by Futabasha's Action Comics (双葉社アクションコミックス(全1)マーミット「小合金」(全10巻)をまとめたもの).

  3. Once upon a time there was a guy that was reading that Frederik Schodt book ("Manga! Manga! The World of Japanese Comics")... And the guy thought "what wonderful comics, what a pity I won't be able to read many of that less commercial, or old mangas..."

15 years later, I love you scanlators. You are the best.
