    1. Yeah, we are. Sorry about the delay, but Katatonia wants to focus on a few other projects before he continues that one.

    2. Delicioussss.
Also, is it me or does Jack remind one of Ryouma?

    3. Totally does. The first time I ever watched the old Violence Jack OVAs I thought I was watching an obscure episode of Getter Robo.

  4. I'm glad the day an entire volume worth of JACK has been completely translated is finally upon us. Only 17 more volumes to go! Just kidding. If anybody can do it it's got to be you guys. Shouldn't come as a surprise but JACK is by far at the top of my list of scanlations I'm following.

  5. Oh snaap things are about to go to heck o_o. Well again anyways XD... Hmmm I guess Jack does look like Ryoma in certain scenes but considering Go Nagai and Ken Ishikawa were in the same team and worked together it wouldn't be so weird.

For one reason or another I just had some very amusing thoughts because of the 3 groups working on this. The first is the plot revolving around Jack himself [don't want to say cause of spoilers just that it involves the number 3]. The second is that we seem to have the Mazinger trio [Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger and Grendaizer]. Lastly, if OtherSideOfSky was to also join in this then it would be a full blown "Dynamic Team Special" [The Mazinger Trio with Getter Robo G] XP.

Thank you again for the upload.

  6. Violence Jack is nothing like the "old" Ryo Nagare.

It feels like Ryoma Nagare from Getter Robo Armageddeon and Shin! Getter Robo are a fusion of Ryo Nagare and an homage to Jack.

  7. Also doesn't Violence Jack sound like a slightly off translation?

I mean even if that's what Go Nagai picked, he picked a name he thought would be cool but messed it up a little.

Maybe he meant Violent Jack instead of Violence Jack.

It'd be like calling "Silent Sam" "Silence Sam"

It might not be too glaring in japanese or even to people accustomed to scanlated/translated manga, but that's because we're slightly more used to seeing engrish in everything.

Just putting that thought out there.

    1. It's named after his Jack Knife that is said to inspire violence in others.

    2. I know, I just mean "Violence Jack" sounds wrong.

I know that's the name Go picked, I just think that if he was more used to being around english speakers he would have called it "Violent Jack" like "Violent" man with a "Jack" knife.

I'm not trying to pick on your translation or even be critical of Go's choice, I was just pointing out what I think the title would be if we all weren't so used to engrishy stuff.

I mean there are a LOT of engrishy stuff in anime that fans handwave, I just wanted to point out that the name might be one of them :P

    3. I understand, I'm just explaining why violence fits better than violent in this case.
